Where Does All the Water Go?

On DeShayes pervious courts all the water goes right back into the ground. This pervious basketball court was recently installed in Sewell, NJ. This court has a rainwater infiltration rate of 341 inches per hour per 5.4 sq. ft.

Modular sport panels were installed over a subbase of crushed stone to allow water to recharge back into the ground. Each of these panels has the ability to store over 3 gallons of water on the underside of the panel.

A light fixture was added to the basketball unit to illuminate the court at night.

This court is now ready for action any time of day or night rain or shine.
